2nd Fish: 18 lb, 40″ Mahi-Mahi!

The Fishing Pole Broke! So this fish definitely was a fighter! I tried to reel her in, but got a bit tired and Don took over. She pulled so hard that the wheel mechanism pulled off the rod. Now it was my turn to wield the knife and fillet my fish. It looked so good, we only let it sit 30 min. in the marinade… With two 18 lbers under our belts, we now have a pattern. Rolling home, rolling home, rolling home across the sea
Crossing tonight! It was a great run, these past 6 months in the Bahamas. Wow, does time fly! After being bitten by no-see-em’s all night in Allans-Pencicola, we are staging in Great Sale Cay and depart in the next hour. Emergency gear is out and ready, healthy snacks & easy to grab food is prepped, our watch cycle agreed on (I like the mid-night run), float plan filed with USCG Small Vessal Reporting System (SVRS), routing and map softwares updated. We plan to use the new Customs & Border Control smart phone app (ROAM) to check in via video conference!…

Microgreens Experiment

Day Five The wally pocket is handily beating the plain tub. Day One Thanks to Karen Massey on Snowcat II, I finally decided to take the microgreen seeds she generously shared with us and experiment with them. I have put them in two different environments.
