Big News!

First, what did we do the past 4+ months?

After packing up Enjoy 4.5 months ago, we traveled to the US, Scotland, England, France and Israel! We visited friends we’ve met sailing (SV English Sally and SV Gladan), family and friends from home, attended a wedding, and two work conferences.

We finished our travels by attending the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, MD, volunteering in the Panama Possee and Seven Seas Cruising Association booths.

Getting Enjoy ready to sail again

Amazingly enough, once again, the boat looked great due to how we left it inside and out, ran the A/C to keep humidity down, and the Marina Papagayo manager, Dan, did twice monthly boat and engine checks, bottom cleaning, as well as topsides.

First, we needed to Barnacle Buster the A/C, troubleshoot one of the fans that is failing, replaced one of the hoses. We’re busily putting the sails back on (folded perfectly by Bill and Susan Tham before they left), helm chair and other cushions out, unbagging all our stuff since nothing was left in the cabinates, and the list goes on.

The Big Reveal: North or South?

Not that we were seriously looking, but at the sailboat show, we saw the Fountaine Pajot Elba 45, and what can we say. We fell in love with its layout with an amazing fly bridge type seating area to catch the winds, a mid-height helm giving Captain Nina better access to sail controls and visiblity than any of the newer boats including Lagoon, Balance, and HH. It is so unfortunate, that all the new sail designs are for 6′ sailors.

The Elba 45

Yes, Enjoy is for Sale!

With that in mind, we decided to list Enjoy for sale with Charles Badoian at The Multihull Company.

You can see OUR LISTING On YACHTWORLD HERE.

We will start looking to purchase a used Fontaine Pajot Elba 45. As a result, we are now headed back to Panama, to straddle offers from both the West and East. Wish us luck!
